PRAYER TIMINGS

Muslims pray in the direction of the Kaba’ah, Makkah five times a day. The prayer times occur at dawn, noon, afternoon, sunset and evening. The time table above displays the Islamic prayer times followed in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Please Note: The five time muslim prayers (called salah in Arabic or namaz in Urdu and Turkish) should be strictly followed. The call to prayer is broadcasted from every mosque and occasionally over the loudspeaker systems in shops and offices. The entire community comes to a halt during this prayer time and Shops/Restaurants are closed until the prayer is over. However, some of the Shops allow you to continue shopping, but the cash counters would be closed until the prayer is over.
